3. How long they last

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain for a set period — typically no longer than 12 months for preference and analytics cookies — after which your browser discards them automatically.

4. Controlling cookies

Every major browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them, and block future ones. Look under Settings → Privacy in Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in and form submission. Blocking preference or analytics cookies is safe — the site keeps working, we just learn less about what to improve.
